Buddhuza is one of the two artists who won the first Ropeadope Sonicbids contest. His music was selected from 1000 demos Ropeadope reviewed from Sonicbids.
Launched in January of 2007, Ropeadope is a widely respected indie label that has worked with a long list of noteworthy artists including: Christian McBride (who played with Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, and Chick Corea), Pat Martino, Charlie Hunter, Mike Gordon (from Phish), Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (from The Roots), John Medeski, Robert Randolph, and Jeff Parker (from Tortoise).
